Frank L. Anders photograph collection [graphic]. [1899, 1920s-1960s]

Photographs document the development and building of Camp Grafton near Devils Lake, N.D. in the 1920s. Includes construction scenes, equipment, buildings, tents, troops in training and leisure, and the water treatment plant. There are also several images of St. John's Hospital buildings in Fargo, railroad locomotive display at Great Northern station in Fargo with other images at the depot. There is also a series of images of the laying of the cornerstone of the new North Dakota Capitol in 1932 and of the Board of State Capitol Commissioners.There is also one image of soldiers in the Philippines in 1899 and four copy prints of portaits of Anders from young adult to elderly man.

Frank LaFayette Anders (November 10, 1875 – January 23, 1966) was a United States Army soldier who received the Medal of Honor for actions during the Philippine–American War. He went on to become a noteworthy engineer, businessman, amateur military historian and politician. Anders's active military career began in December 1894 when he enlisted in Co.
